Terms

Steed is operated by Cavin Capital Group, LLC. By making an account or using Steed, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Steed.

You must be at least 18 to use Steed. Keep your sign-in to yourself: what happens in your account is your responsibility.

• For your first business, your design and your plan are free, on a private preview address. A business you start after that runs on your credits from its first conversation: its consult, its plan and its design.
• Live is $28 a month for each site. It builds and hosts your site at its own Steed address and your own domain with https, takes payments into your own Stripe without card numbers ever touching Steed, keeps your customers' data locked to your account, runs your backend for you (your records, members and their sign-in, bookings, orders and emails), backs up your data every day, keeps your code yours to download, and includes your own edits and 10,000 emails a month. Each further 10,000 is $10, added by itself and billed with your next month.
• The day your first business goes Live, you pay your first $28 month and nothing else, and your first pass is built on it. After you see it, you add credits to keep building. A business you add later is its own $28 a month when it goes Live, built with the credits on your account; adding a pack then is up to you if you hold credits, and needed if you have none.
• Credits pay for the work your team does for you after your first pass: each step of your plan, a change your team builds to what's built, emails Belle writes, a logo drawing, your morning briefing if you turn it on, and messages to your team. Each piece of work takes what it took to make. A build or an email takes its credits only when you approve it; work you turn down takes none. A message uses credits as it's sent.
• One redo of a step, or of an email Belle wrote, that came out wrong uses none of your credits. If something we built doesn't work as it should, we fix it free.
• More credits are $1 each, in packs of 25, 50, 100 or 200, whenever you choose to add them. If a message finishes past your last credit, your balance goes below zero and your next pack fills that first.
• Your monthly price, including your first month, and the credits you add aren't refunded as money; credits stay yours to use. You can cancel any time, and you won't be billed again.
• Your own edits on your preview, your Customers and Numbers pages, and sending your emails never use credits. A question to Hawk is a message to your team.
• Stripe bills you in advance for Live, each month.
• Prices are plus applicable tax where it applies.

When our prices change, you keep the price you went Live at for as long as you stay Live. If you end Live and come back later, you pay the monthly price of the day you return, with the credits you still have; there's no second day one.

• You can end Live any time in your site's settings. You won't be billed again, and your site stays Live to the end of the month you paid for.
• Your site comes off its Steed address and your own domain. It stays on its free preview, and comes down after 90 days without you using it. We email you at 30 and 60 days, with your code a press away in your settings.
• If your card fails, your site stays Live while Stripe tries again. If Stripe can't collect, Live ends and the 90 days start.

Steed takes 0% of your sales. Your customers pay your own Stripe account, and Stripe charges its own fees. Your prices, shipping, taxes, refunds and policies are yours. Steed drafts your site's privacy page and terms from what it collects and what you tell us; checking them, with your own lawyer if you want, is on you, and what your site promises your customers is between you and them.

What you make with Steed is yours: your words, your photos, your design and your site's code. You give Cavin Capital Group, LLC permission to store, host and show it only to run Steed for you. Once your site has been Live, you can download its code from your settings, including after you end Live.

Steed never shares or sells your data or your customers' data. We use what you tell us, and how you use Steed, to make Steed better. We never use your customers' details for that, except as anonymous totals across all Steed sites. Our privacy page says what we keep and why.

Steed is built so your patients' protected health information stays where HIPAA requires it. Everything that can be shown compliantly on your Steed site is: your patients' sign-in, memberships, consults and products run there in your look, like any other site's, paid into your own Stripe. Protected health information that must be kept in a HIPAA-compliant platform (charts, lab results, prescriptions, clinical intake) stays in that system of record. Where it allows, your site shows it to your signed-in patients in your look, straight from that system, and it never passes through Steed's servers. A business associate agreement with each vendor that handles it is standard, and we encourage you to sign one.

Use Steed only for lawful business. Don't use it to publish anything illegal, to sell what Stripe doesn't allow, to break into our systems or anyone else's, to copy or resell Steed, or to overload it with automated scripts.

Steed, its software, its design and its name belong to Cavin Capital Group, LLC. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of Steed.

Some parts of your site run on your own accounts with other services, such as Stripe, Shippo or a tool you connect. Those accounts are under those services' own terms.

Steed is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and correct, but we don't promise it will never be down or never make a mistake. Steed's team is AI: read what it makes before you approve it, and rely on it at your own judgment.

As far as the law allows, Cavin Capital Group, LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data. Our total liability is limited to what you paid Steed in the 3 months before the claim.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete a site yourself, or ask us to delete your whole account by writing to support@steed.biz.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Using Steed after that date means you accept the change.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Disputes go to the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.
